Sterling Virtuoso Euphonium
Having Paul Riggett from Sterling make my euphonium was a privilige that every euphonium player should experience. I had the choice of many different options that you simply do not get with euphonium from York or Besson. The craftsmanship that goes into making the Sterling Virtuoso Euphonium is truly immense and the instrument that is produced is awesome. The tuning and mechanics of the main tuning-slide trigger are far superior to any other euphonium I have played. The trigger, unlike it's the Besson and York couterpart, offers an adjustment of how far you would like the main tuning slide to move when the trigger is pushed all the way in as well as an adjustment for how long the throw of the trigger is. This obviously can hugely improve accuracy of tuning.
The overall quality of the finish is quite breath taking with 24 carrat gold and a brilliant silver plating. The custom options I took advantage of are the: trigger, 2nd valve water key, 4th valve "booster cap", yellow brass bell and I moved the hand grip to the Besson Sovereign position.
